The event is held on the corner of Kirby St. and John R in the heart of Detroit’s Cultural Center and will host 40 visual artist booths representing a wide variety of media. The Midtown Art Fair performance stage will be inside the International Institute building this year, featuring the Know Obstacles band, Matrix Theatre and many more. The full stage schedule will be posted soon!
Detroit legend, DJ Bruce Bailey will keep things grooving, again, in the main fair area outside. Visitors will also be able to participate in the Art Action Experience with Detroit visual artist, Daniel Cascardo, and sample food from everyone’s favorite, Detroit’s Chef Taz.
Michigan Arts Access created the Midtown Art Fair in 2022 as an example of our vision of an accessible society, where people with disabilities of all ages have equitable opportunities to participate in, learn through, excel in and enjoy the arts. This is also an inclusive event and will feature diverse artists, as well as artists from MiAA’s All Means All program for professional Michigan Artists with disabilities. Come out and celebrate the beautiful tapestry of Michigan’s creative community!
