Club Create Alma chapter was founded by Diane Clise. The club meets at the Pine Avenue Drop-in Center on the third Wednesday of each month.

Meet our Director and Resident Artist
Diane Clise and her family moved to the Alma area from Ann Arbor about 25 years ago. She has taught, displayed in galleries, and has exhibited in Chicago and in various areas of Michigan. She was the Artist-In-Residence in Glen Arbor in 2011, and won “Best of Show” at the 2015 Art Reach Small Works Juried Art Show in Mt. Pleasant, with one of her vibrant alcohol ink pictures. Diane is currently the Director of the Alma Community Art Center and her work has been published in “Fine Arts of the Great Lakes,” by Phyllis A. H. Dobson.

Club Create Alma continues to grow and so do the skills of the club members! Because of this growth we decided in May to expand the program to twice per month. In May the members used spring as an inspiration for their paintings.

Members created a fun and whimsical Spring picture. In May members will begin meeting twice a month!
February, 2023
Members created Valentine’s during the February session. We are excited to see wonderful friendships developing in our new club, as members embrace the creative and social aspects of the Club Create mission. Members stated this week that “you make me brave to try new things,” while others shared “It’s always a happy day on Club Create day” and “I feel like I can do more because of these days.”
