Michigan Arts Access is thrilled to welcome Martha Reeves as its new Ambassador. Ms. Reeves will be joining us at the 2nd Annual Midtown Art Fair from 3 – 6 pm and will be signing autographs. The event will be held on the corner of Kirby St. and John R in the heart of Detroit’s Cultural Center and will host 40 visual artist booths representing a wide variety of media. The Midtown Art Fair adds a performances this year with a diverse lineup of musicians, a comedian, and an improvisational theatre company. Matrix Theatre’s Playback Theatre Troupe will be improvising short theatre pieces based on audience member stories.
Detroit legend, DJ Bruce Bailey, returning to set the festive mood, again, throughout the day. Visitors will also be able to participate in the Art Action Experience with Detroit visual artist, Daniel Cascardo, and sample food from Detroit’s own, Chef Taz.
This is an inclusive event and will feature artists from All Means All, MiAA’s program of support for professional Michigan Artists with disabilities. This is an accessible event that embraces the diversity, equity and inclusion of all Michigan citizens. Come out and celebrate the beautiful tapestry of Michigan’s creative community with us!
Michigan Arts Access is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and all proceeds from the Midtown Art Fair will go to support MiAA’s programs for children, youth and adults with disabilities.

Access and Parking
The Midtown Art Fair will have greeters at the entrance. Our greeters will be available to assist you with dropping off anyone with mobility challenges at the entrance. There may be parking available on the surrounding streets, but we suggest you park in the Cultural Center Parking Lot on John R., across from the Detroit Institute of the Arts one block south of the venue. Parking in that lot is $7 for the entire day.
